| If you've got an active Steam account, and most of us do, you should check out Wasted on Steam, a site that levies the dark magic of statistics to dissect your Steam account activities. Plug in your Steam account name and all of your publicly available account details are brought up in a nice, easy-to-read format. Total games owned and total games played are right next to each other, and the discrepancy between those two numbers will shame even the most cautious Steam Sale devotee. Total hours of games played is also there, but, of course, not every big-hitting game is on Steam—Mass Effect 3 and Minecraft are two examples that spring to mind. Also interesting is the worldwide rankings of other players that is great for people-watching, though the stats at the top of the ladder are showing some glitchy numbers. Out of the almost 20,000 Steam accounts that have been analyzed so far (totaling just short of 1,000 years of playtime), the account with the most hours has almost 130,000 hours of playtime, which means that they've been playing games on Steam every waking moment since late 1998. Quite an achievement, considering that Steam launched in 2003. The site integrates with your Steam account if you log in, allowing you to see sales from around the Internet for games on your wishlist. One of the games still on my wishlist, Max Payne 3, is $10 on Amazon right now. Thanks, Wasted on Steam!
